Forest Gate Works was conceived by local forest gate architecture and design studio, Richard John Andrews. The concept emerged due to the studio's continued growth and increase in demand for home-working solutions over the pandemic as they set out to create a workplace that mirrored the ethos of the studio.
The reimagined railway arch was thoughtfully designed, compassing a bespoke fit-out - featuring sliding doors and expansive glazing - that enhances its functionality.
The space developed into a co-working space, with the ability for desk rental memberships and flexible hot desking. As a community hub it also promoted dynamic and collaborative community engagement by hosting small scale social events such as karaoke and game nights.
Before its closure in 2023 Forest Gate Works had made the stride to become a charity organisation looking to support local entruepenueral youths with an innovative working environment surrounded by coworking professional from a huge diversity of industries.

The bespoke contemporary OSB (Oriented Strand Board) kitchen features a compact dining and workspace, complete with sleek bar stools and large skylights that fill the area with natural light.
