The Little House commission redesigned and reprogrammed the interior and exterior of a detached brick façade house in Surrey by using creative solutions such as bespoke feather-edge cladding and a 13m glazing wall.
The expansive glazing houses a spacious ground-floor extension, introducing an open-plan kitchen, dining and living room area.
The generous, feather-edge clad extension transforms the ground floor into a bright, open-plan kitchen, dining and living space.
The bespoke 13m glazing accommodates both sliding pocket doors and large format panels, easily extending the inside onto the spacious terrace and garden beyond.
The minimalistic glazing wall offers a fantastic view out to the garden, and further visually enlarges the space and lets it breathe.
By installing three seamless skylights, that connect to a green roof above, the ground floor became a space that is flooded in natural light.

The Kitchen Area

Dinner Area
For some sun-flooded lunch moments with a view.

The Living Room Area
On the opposite end to the kitchen in the open plan ground floor, there is a cosy living room with a free-standing log burner several sofas in front of the wide panel glazing providing, near-seamless view into the garden.
Bathrooms
The house has a total of ... bathrooms (2 on the ground floor and ) on the first floor.
The interior is kept cohesive with white, round-edged basins and toilets and light floors. The darker ... joinery creates a simple contrast.
