This Victorian terraced house in
East London incorporates a modern extension in elegant zinc cladding sat alongside traditional London Stock brickwork to create additional kitchen and living space that offers sleek design whilst respecting the original materials of the building.
A compact rear extension to this residential property responded to the client brief of offering further kitchen/dining space without expanding the full width of the property whilst also adding a mansard loft conversion to the existing parapet front to create two additional bedrooms and bathroom. The use of zinc flat lock cladding creates a modern, minimalist element to the extensions with a tonal colour palette of powder coated charcoal grey used throughout the exterior.

Bringing light into the living areas of this home were of prime consideration with bi-folding doors placed within the rear extension to fully open up the kitchen diner, maximising the indoor/outdoor living potential and giving a seamless blend with the mature garden.
Large scale rooflights incorporated into the mansard loft conversion create a brightness and sense of space within the traditional Victorian building whilst being conscious of design and budget.
